Inspiring Seminars by James Bowen, Leading Professor from Canada

Recently, Professor James Bowen PhD from the University of Ottawa came to Wittenborg University to give two inspiring seminars to Wittenborg Business School students from all phases.

The seminar, dealing with e-marketing, social media, and how investors look at risk and return, enabled students to recognize opportunities and come up with practical suggestions around business models and the implementation of a business plan. Risk management was dealt with to great extent as well.

At the end of his stay in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, James was handed a Wittenborg USB-stick and Wittenborg bag by Wittenborg director Peter Birdsall, after being thanked for his visit by students and staff.

As an expert in many teaching areas such as Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Management, and Marketing, James Bowen is a knowledgeable professor in many fields. Dr. Bowen’s education has focused on management and technology. He has had a wide variety of in-depth experiences in both management and technology over the last 20 years. This experience is in both academia and industry.

Dr. Bowen has been interviewed on radio, television, and newspaper. He has given presentations around North America in professional forums on leading edge technologies usually with a business focus. He has published over 35 papers in IT/management, and several management books. He co-founded a software services company, is active with local technology companies and investors, and, is a writer for Ottawa’s newspaper for the technology community.
