Email Receipt: Where will I get the submission receipt?
An email receipt is sent to your Semail@example.com account each time the assignment has been submitted on Turnitin. Should you provide any other email ID, it is wise to check the spam/junk folder.

Emergency Contact: Where can I find important telephone numbers in case of emergencies?
You can find basic information about living in the Netherlands from Wittenborg-online, on your Dashboard under the title ‘Information for International Students in the Netherlands or through this link: https://www.wittenborg-online.com/enrol/index.php?id=1183
All information pertaining to your living in the Netherlands, from the time before your arrival to after you graduate can be found here. If you are staying at Wittenborg’s accommodation, the student housing information booklet placed inside your room and in the common area contains emergency numbers in case of urgent needs. This information can be found in the first page and contains numbers of Wittenborg Housing Department, Police, Fire Brigade and Hospital.
Generally, the Dutch emergency number for police, fire department and ambulance is 112. The Call Centre respondent will respond to the call and ask who you are, where the emergency takes place and what the emergency is. They will then send the right forces (police, ambulance or fire service) to the scene.
Note: Only call these numbers if the matter cannot wait another minute with the issue. The Netherlands has a strict policy on emergency numbers. It is considered a crime to unnecessarily call 112. They will charge the person who calls the emergency number for nothing.

issues destined to be solved by the fire department, the phone number of the
Apeldoorn fire department is 055-548 3555.
In case of health issues, if one is not in immediate life danger, do not call 112. Call the Family doctor’s office and press 1 for emergency. They will tell you what to do next. If someone has a major health issue out of office hours, they can call the Apeldoorn Huisartsenpost. The telephone number is 0900 - 600 9000. They will give you instructions on what to do next.
Note: Do not go to the emergency room/hospital without calling the Huisartsenpost first. This will not be covered by the insurance and it will take a lot of time before they can help.

English Competency: How can I improve my English level for my study?
At Wittenborg, we have modules which help you develop your English Language competency. These are as follows:
Apart from the above, you can also do your own self-study through relevant reading materials or referring to English/Grammar/Vocabulary online sources. Try the following:

This can be done by clicking the 'Personal details' option on the http://myresults.wittenborg.eu. The 'Personal details' option shows only your active programmes.

In order to know what modules you have to attend in each block please check your study programme curriculum. This can be found in your programme's Education and Examination Guide (EEG) online (Part 3)

You are automatically registered for exams once you have enrolled for the modules.

The exam results can be found in http://myresults.wittenborg.eu. Students can click on the 'Study Progress Review' by clicking on the 'Progress' tab.

Exam Timetable: How can I access the examination timetable?
You need to login in the timetable, select your programme, then save timetable. Now, you can find your examination dates.
https://timetable.wittenborg.eu is the webpage that has all scheduled classes & exams for all programmes. You need to access it to find information on the scheduled class & exam location, date and time and lecturer details.

Exam Type1: What are the new changes to exam type 1 in 2020-21?
Type 1 assessments are closed or open book examinations held in school under invigilation. After having experimented with online exam type 1 examinations, uploaded answers and the management of these during the retake weeks of block 8 (which were held at the end of August) we have identified various issues with organizing a traditional open book exam online.
Therefore, we have decided to implement the following for the complete academic year 2020-21:
Type 2 assignments have no changes to the standard assessment as described in the relevant EEG and module guides.

Examinations: How can I review Type 2 exams in blocks 6 and 7?
During the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the “traditional’’ written
exams (Type 1) have been replaced by assignments (Type 2). You will receive feedback and comments on your assignment from the module teacher in Turnitin, approximately two weeks after the deadline of the assignment.

Exams: Is there any difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 exams?
Type 1 exams are the written exams which are traditional classroom-based exams, where students are asked to answer several questions or analyse situations and cases in text form, without any study aids such as notes or textbooks. Written examinations are 3 hours unless otherwise indicated by the lecturer.
Type 2 exams are assignments completed individually or in groups.

Flight Cancelled: My flight to the Netherlands is cancelled/postponed due to COVID-19. What do I need to do?
In such a situation, please call the Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences telephone number +31886672688 (weekends: +31613723608) to inform Wittenborg's staff members so that they can take the necessary action. After your call please also send a short e-mail to this address: email@example.com, mentioning your student number and explaining your situation.
Please follow the same procedure if you face any difficulties that prevent you from travelling to the airport of your departure point that is caused by airport authorities or airline company staff.

Food in the Netherlands: Can I buy the food that I am used to while staying in the Netherlands?
Yes, in general everything is available in the markets. There
are plenty of supermarkets you can choose from, though sometimes you may have to go to a
specialised shop to buy a specific item, e.g. Asian food.
Rice is a common product in the supermarkets. Black Bean sauce can be found in Asian shops.

Graduation Assignment (GA/FP) Oral Defence/Presentations: Can I use any special equipment or request for special arrangements for my GA Oral Defence/Presentation?
Yes, you may use any equipment or request for special arrangements. However, please arrange this either through your Academic Supervisor or Process Tutor or the Education Department at least one week in advance of the time of the Oral Defence.

Graduation Assignment (GA/FP): What are the instructions for the printing and submission of the hardcopies of my GA/FP?
Students are required to print and submit 2 properly bound hardcopies of their GA/FP to Wittenborg's Front Desk. Please check the EEG Part 8 'GRADUATION ASSIGNMENT & FINAL PROJECT HANDBOOK’ and the Module Online Area for instructions on printing and submission requirements.

Graduation Assignment (GA/FP): Where and when can I submit my GA hard copies?
Students must submit two properly bound (NO SPIRAL BINDING) copies of their GA/FP to the Front Desk at Laan van Mensenrechten 500 (Aventus building). Please refer to the online area for the actual deadline to submit the hard copies.
