Wittenborg from the Sky

Last Wednesday morning a group of about 25 students, Karin Pelle, Aram Sanders, and Dick Bos managed to get all packed up in a bus heading for Teuge International Airport for a project week excursion. 1st year student Alejandro Saldarriaga Escobar enthusiastically shares his experience:

Wittenborg students in front of a Sky Service aircraft“Once in the airport we walked around for a while, after which we arrived at the hangar. Following a presentation by Sky Service Netherlands BV owners Onno van der Zee and Daniël van Vliet, another presentation was given by aircraft technician. Finally, I experienced an exciting over flight of the Apeldoorn area.

Sky Service is an enterprise “in general aviation performing scenic flights, banner towing, flight school operations, business flights, airplane ground handling, and zeppelin marketing flights”. They have a team of pioneer entrepreneurs who are passionate about the art of flying; they have managed a successful business since 2006, one which requires a lot of capital and work. Innovation is a key feature within the company, therefore its potential lies in their ability to come out with new marketing developments. Flying is about passion and requires technical knowledge as well as common sense, discipline, and a hard working team thoroughly concerned with safety, quality, and great service.

Wittenborg as seen from the skyThe excursion was a valuable experience since we got the chance to see a Dutch company in action. It was fantastic being able to ride a flying machine during university hours. I recorded a video and took some pictures of the Wittenborg building from the air."

The video of the flight can be seen below:
