What is Innovation? What is the Innovation process? How to implement innovation?

These were just some of the questions being discussed during the Innovation Seminar, given by Robert Roelofs, MBA to students at the Business School

"Mr Roelofs explained the theory behind “Innovation” also known as the innovation process and how this process is applicable in different types of businesses. The lecturer gave different examples of how innovation can help a company survive in a particular market.

During the seminar all participants had the opportunity to share their thoughts about different innovations that currently either being developed or in progress in their countries.

Whereas Innovation used to be a unique process belonging to a certain state, it now has become part of the global process. For example, a German solar energy company has transferred solar energy from a local environment to global environment, by developing it in Germany, but placing it in usage in foreign countries with vast amounts of land, but lacking consistent energy supply. India, for example has fine tuned the micro processor industry invented by the US, whereby Indian companies (or subsidiaries from western companies) have now have outsourced parts of this industry to China marking a true global process of innovation. The world of innovation today is the future for mankind tomorrow.”
