Increased Flexibility for Students!

Wittenborg introduces a full block module system that means increased flexibility for students, including the possibility for students to stream into the programmes at 6 entry points per year, namely at blocks 1-3 and blocks 5-7.

Modules

Modules will be given in a block, rather than over 3 blocks, which mean that students will have fewer modules per block to study, however, the modules will be studied and taught more intensely. Students will not have an increased study load! See the attached PDF for an overview of the Summer term modules and their timetabling.

Blocks

The make-up of the block is also changed, in that the project week is brought to the middle of the block, and will be both looking forward to the coming 2 weeks, as back over the past two weeks. The exam week will be placed in the 6^th week, and a module will be fully examined on 1 day. Examinable modules will all follow the same exam pattern, with 3 components – a multiple choice exam, an open book / paper exam, and an exam presentation. Each student will be set a question for the exam presentation during the 4^th lesson week of a module, and will present their answer in a 5 to 10 minute presentation on exam day, (at least) using PowerPoint. The exam will be filmed, and the PowerPoint presentation uploaded to the assignment bay for that module.
