Visit by Wittenborg Staff and Students to Partners in Russia

RostovIn November 2006, a group of 8 students and 2 teachers visited Wittenborg's partner university, The Institute of Management, Business and Law in Rostov-on-Don, southern Russia.

They received a warm welcome from Wittenborg's roving education co-ordinator, Stewart Else, and his colleagues and students in Rostov.

Wittenborg students were able to meet and attend seminars with a group of

14 Russian students who are studying the Wittenborg IBA course alongside their Institute diploma. Seminars were given by Professor Imran Akperov, Rector of the Institute and Professor Tatiana Simonyan, a marketing specialist, as well as by Wittenborg's teachers Tanya Dimitrova and Francie Monsma.

During the two week exchange, visits were made to local companies such as the famous Russian brewery, Baltika and to local towns such as Starocherkassk and Taganrog. There was also a visit to the branch of the Institute in Salsk, about 200km from Rostov.

Many new friendships were formed in a truly international environment:

Wittenborg students from Russia, China, Turkey, Nepal, and Vietnam and Wittenborg teachers from Russia, UK, Bulgaria and The Netherlands!
