Wittenborg Family Member Appointed to AACSB

Moving on

Popular member of the Wittenborg family since 2018, Ronald Tuninga is resigning as Vice President of Academic Affairs to take up a new appointment with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s largest business education alliance. Tuninga's decision comes after the AACSB hand-selected him as its new Vice President and Managing Director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

With this appointment, Tuninga replaces Tim Mescon, former Executive Vice President and Chief Officer of EMEA who has served in the position since 2014. Despite the news of his departure, Wittenborg is excited for the new opportunities that Tuninga's AACSB appointment will create for him.
Wittenborg's president, Peter Birdsall, said "We will miss Ron as VP. In the past 4 years, Ron has helped and guided our business school towards its goal and seen us grow both in size and in stature. He leaves us with a fabulous team in place that can, and will, reach all our goals."

Tuninga is a PhD holder with an MA in Economics, MBA in International Business and MSc in Marketing. In the past, he has been involved with international projects funded by entities including the Dutch Government, World Bank, European Union and United Nations, along with other international organisations. Tuninga has also been an active volunteer for the AACSB in the past.

He is set to start at the AACSB's Amsterdam office on 15 November and will take part in the EMEA Annual Conference later that month. In his new role, Tuninga will oversee continued expansion across EMEA. His duties will include strategic planning, operations, outreach & engagement activities as well as becoming an advocate for the value of the AACSB's accreditation of business schools. Tuninga will surely become a major asset to the AACSB accreditation process. Everyone at Wittenborg wishes Mr Tuninga all the best for his future endeavours!
