One of Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences’ unique and attractive features, compared to other European universities, is its 6 entry dates for all degrees. This means that students who are interested to pursue their degrees at Wittenborg can apply in February, March, May, August, October and November every year.

With the start of the new academic year, Wittenborg warmly welcomes 58 new students upon the first intake: 48 in Apeldoorn and 10 in Amsterdam. These 58 newcomers represent 21 different countries and nationalities. Specifically there are thirteen Iranians, twelve Nigerians, four each from India and Spain, three from China, two each from Turkey, Russia, Rwanda, Poland, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, and one each from Bangladesh, America, the Philippines, South Africa, Kenya, South Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Pakistan and the Netherlands.

Two of the new students from Spain, Juan Costell and Ricardo Thomas, are eagerly waiting to start their bachelor’s of business administration degree programme in Marketing and Communication. Juan and Ricardo are from Valencia, Spain, and are neighbours as well as long-time friends since their school days. The duo decided to pursue their studies further in the Netherlands since the level of English proficiency is higher compared to other non-native European countries, besides their enthusiasm to explore the Dutch culture. Both find the study programme interesting as they strongly believe that the academic curriculum will lay a solid foundation to gain knowledge about marketing and communication, making it easier for them to fit into the corporate world in the future.

Aleksei Belov is also one of Wittenborg’s new bachelor's students who will specialise in Financial Services Management. Aleksei arrived just a couple of weeks ago from Russia and already seems to have made friends with fellow Wittenborg students. He currently lives at one of Wittenborg’s accommodation facilities and is enthusiastic to start his new experience living alone as an international student in a foreign country. “I've had to learn to do everything on my own,” he states with a positive attitude. He believes the experience will help shape him to become a strong and persevering individual.

Wittenborg is always overjoyed to see new students from around the world. With the lifting of social distancing in higher educational institutions, Wittenborg is confident that in-person lessons will bring better and more exciting learning experiences, especially for international students. The university of applied sciences plans to achieve the expectations of students both with regard to education and the experience as international students in the Netherlands .
