School Holidays: How to know my school holidays: general year planning?

Seminars: Do I need to pass all the seminars?
There are different requirements for Phase 1 and Phase 2 students. Please read the module guide for more detailed information by clicking Module Guides for All Programmes.

Sharing room: do you offer single room or do I have to share my room?
Wittenborg Housing department provides living student housing service in Apeldoorn. Most of the bedrooms are single bedrooms, though you may have to share a large bedroom with another student, depending on the accommodation available and your budget. Usually younger student, just graduated from high school, is advised to take share room.

Smoking Policy: Am I allowed to smoke inside the student housing?
No. Smoking is strictly not allowed inside Wittenborg student accommodation.

Soft Drugs in Accommodation: Is it allowed to use or possess soft drugs in the student housing?
Dealing in, using or possessing soft or hard drugs is forbidden in all Wittenborg housing.
Using, growing, or dealing drugs, as per Dutch Law, or possession thereof, is strictly forbidden, as is any other illegal activity. This will lead to a fine of €100, immediate eviction from Wittenborg housing and the matter will be reported to the police.

Special Seat: What is a special seat and how does it work?
On condition that a student has a mitigating circumstance and/or a minimum of 210ECs (Bachelors) and 50ECs (Masters), a request can be made via the Special Seat Request Form if the remaining module is not within the block(s) prior to Graduation. A Maximum of 2 modules can be requested. A student is permitted to do a special seat only once. Otherwise reverts to the normal planning of the module.
Special Seat requests are made not later than Lesson Week 1 of the block before the planned special seat i.e. For a special seat of Block 2: the request has to be made in Lesson Week 1 of Block 1.

Student Account: How do I activate my Student Account?
Once you are accepted to Wittenborg University you will receive an email with your student account details (login and password). You need to log in with these credentials via office.wittenborg.eu. Please remember to change your password once you have activated your account.

Student Account: Who can I contact in case of loss of access to my student account?
If a student’s account denies access, this can have multiple reasons. Below the 3 most common reasons are highlighted.

Student Card Lost: I lost my student card. How can I get a new one?
In the event of losing a student card, you must go to the Aventus main reception on the ground floor for a replacement card at a charge of €7.50 by debit card. Cash will not be accepted.
Without a student card, you cannot enter an exam room or certain parts of the Wittenborg campus.

Student Card: I am a new student and wish to obtain a new student card.
A student card is an identification card to show that someone is enrolled as a student of Wittenborg. A student card also allows students to use the elevator in the Aventus building and to access the rooms downstairs in the Aventus building.
Some companies give discounts to students if they can show their student ID.
How to obtain a student card
The Front Office will apply for student cards for new students.Once you have taken all the steps on the new student checklist, go to the Front Desk to collect the pick-up slip. With this pick-up slip, you can go to the central reception area of Aventus to have your student card made immediately.

Student Housing in Apeldoorn: What types of housing options can I choose from in the university housing in Apeldoorn?
Wittenborg offers accommodation in a number of different types and places, all enjoying close proximity to the university:
Dutch or other EU-national students are encouraged to find their own accommodation; however, they can opt for Wittenborg’s own accommodation if available.
If you are a non-EU, ‘package-fee’-paying student who needs Wittenborg to arrange your study visa to be able to join us in Apeldoorn, part of your package fee is the first 4 months* of your accommodation fee, plus administration fee for new-arrival students.
You will be allocated a room in either an apartment or a house sharing a common area and all facilities, such as a bathroom, toilet, kitchen, etc., with other students, both male and female.
After the first 4 months* you are free to move out of Wittenborg accommodation and move into other housing of your choice.

Student Housing WiFi: Will I be able to use WiFi while staying in Wittenborg student housing?
Yes. All dorms as well as the school facilities have a WiFi connection. For more details as well as the signing in procedure, please check the information displayed in the student housing that you are currently living in.

Student Housing; Can my spouse/ partner stay with me in the student housing?
No. Unfortunately we do not support couples in Wittenborg student housing unless both of them happen to be registered students with us. These properties have been specifically built for students.

Student Housing; What should I bring with me to the student housing?
Wittenborg University student housing provides you with the basics items before you move in. This means you won’t need to carry items like a bed, wardrobe, bed cover/ bed sheets, pillow and pillow cover. There is also a blanket provided by Wittenborg student housing department. Some useful things like cups, bowl and plate is provided for each student on arrival in the student housing.

Student Housing: I have undergone the PCR test before arriving at Schiphol airport. Do I still need to undergo the mandatory 10 days self quarantine upon arriving in the student housing? (COVID-19)
Yes. A negative test result is not a substitute for self-quarantining. People with a negative test result should still self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival in the Netherlands.

Study Agreement Update from 2020-2021
From the academic year 2020-2021, Registrar's Office provides students with the most up-to-date study credit overview and the newest Study Agreement (Study Advice) for students to sign.
