Amsterdam is the Netherlands central hub for entrepreneurship. Its international characteristic and allure make it the one place for Dutch entrepreneurs to initiate their innovative business from; it also is a magnet for budding international entrepreneurs!

Why study entrepreneurship at Wittenborg? - as a Private University of Applied Sciences, Wittenborg University is owned by international entrepreneurs and managed by a team that has years of experience in starting new business.

A degree in entrepreneurship? Why bother, many young business professionals ask! Well, the truth of the matter is that not enough Dutch or international would-be entrepreneurs ever get the start they need to try out their ideas in a controlled way. That’s where a BBA (Bachelor) in Entrepreneurship and Small Business can offer a budding entrepreneur the opportunity to try out their ideas, but get an internationally recognised degree at the same time.

Wittenborg's unique internationally focused, English spoken Bachelor programme, combines the concept of entrepreneurship incubators with the content of the programme. During the degree, students will start at least 12 small "BBC Apprentice-Style" entrepreneurial projects, set out at least 3 Business Plans and start at least 2 companies under supervision.Wittenborg's unique internationally focused, English spoken Bachelor programme, combines the concept of entrepreneurship incubators with the content of the programme. The third and final company start-up can be the final project. Don't worry - for the "intrapreneurs" there is the possibility to graduate with a consultancy plan, or a good old fashioned academic dissertation!

Wittenborg's NVAO accredited IBA Bachelor, in Entrepreneurship & Small Business was separately accredited in 2013 by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) under the name Entrepreneurial Business Administration. In September 2015, Wittenborg will launch the programme exclusively at a new location in the heart of Amsterdam.

The Bachelor programme is focused on entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship in business. The programme, which opens at Wittenborg Amsterdam in September 2015, is completely geared towards on the entrepreneurial student - the student who wants to combine study with setting up and running their own company! Teachers include entrepreneurs from the Netherlands, Europe, North America and Asia and from the start students are asked to take on business projects that include sales and product development.

This bachelor degree has 6 entry points per year and also allows credit transfer from other programmes.

The programme aims to provide students with an opportunity to develop their innovative and entrepreneurial skills alongside the knowledge and competencies learned in a broad business administration programme. The programme aims to stimulate communication skills in a multicultural and multilingual environment and develop qualities of leadership to an extent that business graduates can either feel confident to start their own business ventures or find employment supporting new business and innovative projects within organisations.
