DISC and Wittenborg join Dickens Festival and Christmas Drama Event

A 19th Century English town from the times of Charles Dickens comes to life in the Deventer historical city center on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 December. You’ll meet historical characters like Oliver Twist, Scrooge, Mr Pickwick and many others in a merry Christmas atmosphere. Typical Christmas drinks (punch) and food (pea soup, waffles, oliebollen etc.) will be sold in the streets.

The Story of Christmas

Two drama presentations (mime) will visualise the story of Christmas magnificently! The events which surrounded the birth of Christ will be presented, and both will inspire your imagination and understanding! The first drama presentations can be seen in `TheBase` youth centre, the second one outside on the market square, right in front of `de Waag´.

more than 150,000 visitors will come from all over the country to this famous Festival.
It will thus be VERY, VERY CROWDED.
We’ll avoid the worst crowds by starting early.
