Wittenborg University to open at Compton Place

Dutch / Nederlands Version

Compton Place in Winter

Wittenborg University is to open its International Business Administration programmes at Compton Place, a magnificent 18th Century mansion standing in its own park of 13 hectares. Compton Place was a former home of the Duke of Devonshire. Wittenborg will operate its UK Eastbourne Campus together with its partners Elac and LTC International College, who are housed in Compton Place.

Together with its partners, Wittenborg will offer its business programmes, together with an extensive package of language and communication training courses.

Current discussion for Wittenborg UK to also secure another prestigious building in Eastbourne are proceeding, however the agreement with LTC to begin at Compton Place has been in place for some time.

Wittenborg's move into the UK is part of the business school's strategy to establish a network of campuses in Europe, in order to allow students greatly international mobility within the same programme. Wittenborg's unique block system, allows students to enter the programme at 6 different times a year, as well as spending a block at a different campus, whilst continuing the same programme.

Wittenborg's IBA Bachelor is currently also being given at the Institute of Business Managemant and Law in Rostov on Don (Russia) and discussions are being held regarding similar projects in Germany and Bulgaria.

The Wittenborg UK campus will attract students from both home and abroad, this being the first time that Dutch higher professional education has opened its doors directly to students in the UK. The campus will also allow Dutch students to enjoy a period of study in England and vice versa.
