A group of students from Hogeschool Wittenborg is expanding its horizons this month and heading to Russia! This follows the successful exchange program in the summer when a group of students from the Institute of Management, Business & Law in Rostov-on-Don, visited Hogeschool Wittenborg. The Institute is the largest university in the south of Russia, with 5000 students spread across three sites. Rostov-on-Don itself is a vibrant city with a population of just over 1 million people, and is one of Russia’s largest cities after Moscow and St Petersburg.

The return visit to Rostov will take place 15-30 October 2005, and students will take part in a number of seminars and cultural visits arranged by the Institute. In addition, they will take part in seminars to be given by the two staff members taking part in the exchange, Wittenborg’s Education Manager, Stewart Else and Education Administrator, Tanya Dimitrova. This multinational group, comprising six Chinese, one Vietnamese, an Englishman and a Bulgarian, is looking forward to learning more about the culture of Russia during the two week trip. For the majority of the group, it will be their first trip to Russia and so promises to be an exciting adventure.

Een groep studenten van de Hogeschool Wittenborg gaan deze maand hun horizon verbreden en vertrekken binnenkort naar Rusland. Dit is het gevolg van het succesvolle uitwisselingsprogramma dat afgelopen zomer heeft plaatsgevonden met studenten van het Instituut voor Management, Bedrijfskunde en Recht in het Russische Rostov on Don.

Dit is de grootste universiteit van Zuid-Rusland met zo’n 5000 studenten verspreid over drie locaties. Rostov on Don is een levendige, moderne stad met iets meer dan 1 miljoen inwoners en is na Moskou en St. Petersburg ook een van de grootste steden in Rusland.

De uitwisseling naar Rostov zal plaatsvinden van 15 t/m 30 oktober. De studenten zullen deelnemen aan zowel seminars als culturele uitstapjes die georganiseerd worden door de Russische hogeschool.

Tevens zullen de studenten deelnemen aan seminars die gegeven zullen worden door twee personeelsleden van de Hogeschool Wittenborg die ook meereizen; manager van onderwijs Stewart Else en onderwijs administrator Tanya Dimitrova.

Deze multiculturele groep bestaande uit, zes Chinezen, een Vietnamees, een Brit en een Bulgaarse, verheugen zich op deze kans om hun kennis van de Russische cultuur uit te breiden tijdens deze reis. Voor velen van hen belooft dit eerste bezoek aan Rusland een spannend
