Wittenborg Moves to Apeldoorn 2010At a press conference today, held in Apeldoorn, Hogeschool Wittenborg, University of Applied Sciences announced that it has entered a long term partnership with the local government of Apeldoorn, which will see the whole school move from its current location in Deventer to a new location in Apeldoorn during the summer of 2010. The city council was represented by Councilor Hans Wegman, and a team from the council. The meeting was also joined by students and staff from Wittenborg. The project is also actively supported by the Netherlands Employers Organisation VNO-NCW, who represents many of the organizations and companies in and around the Apeldoorn region.
After reaching an agreement with a large state college, ROC Aventus, Wittenborg will move into its own separate wing within the building, and profit from the ultra modern building and facilities there. The new location is just two minutes walking distance from the main railway station, and has also a direct ten-minute route to the main Netherlands motorway A1. Apeldoorn is 1 hour distance from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The move is planned for the summer, and the school is aiming to be fully operational in Apeldoorn as of 1st August.
