Exams: Is there any difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 exams?

Type 1 exams are the
written exams which are traditional classroom-based exams, where students are asked to answer
several questions or analyse situations and cases in text form, without any
study aids such as notes or textbooks. Written examinations are 3 hours
unless otherwise indicated by the lecturer.
Type 2 exams are
assignments completed individually or in groups.
